New Bus Timetables

Changes to Bus Service 2 Devizes - Salisbury

From 23rd February, Salisbury Reds will be operating some journeys on service 2 with double decker buses and some minor changes are being made to the timetable to enable this to happen.

The first bus from Devizes to Salisbury will need to depart from some stops up to 5 minutes earlier, so please check the new timetable leaflet carefully if you need to use this journey.

In addition, more journeys will now be running via Grove Road in Market Lavington, including a later weekday journey from Devizes at 1740 (5.40pm) which we hope will be useful to passengers who work in Devizes town centre.

Bus service 2 is operated on behalf of Wiltshire Council by the “Salisbury Reds” bus company. For further information about this service, please ring the Salisbury Reds Customer Services Team on 01202 338 420, or email them at talk2us@salisburyreds.co.uk or call into their Travel Shop at 6 New Canal, Salisbury, SP1 1EX

New Service for Wiltshire Residents

Wiltshire and Swindon Community Messaging launches in Wiltshire
You can now sign up for free messages - by email, text or voicemail - about policing and crime matters relating to your area and interests by joining Wiltshire and Swindon Community Messaging.
Wiltshire Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon, Angus Macpherson, are committed to involving communities in the prevention and reduction of crime and anti-social behaviour. Working alongside Neighbourhood Watch, Wiltshire and Swindon Community Messaging aims to improve the flow of information between communities and the police.
PCC Angus Macpherson, who is commissioning this new initiative, said: “The whole of Wiltshire is now covered by Swindon and Wiltshire Community Messaging, bringing the public into contact with the police and Neighbourhood Watch.
“I now look forward to working with other partners in Wiltshire and Swindon to extend the excellent services provided by Wiltshire Police and to build on the title ‘Community’ Messaging.”
Wiltshire Police Chief Constable Pat Geenty said: “Community Messaging enables us to reach out to all the people that may not use social media and other channels. It provides the public with messages in a format that suits them and keeps them up to date with police matters in their local area.”
People signed up will be able to receive messages about policing and crime matters in their area, such as community policing news and events, appeals for information and crime prevention advice.
They will also be able to reply to messages, feeding back information to their local neighbourhood officers to help them in policing their local area.
To find out more and to sign up visit www.wiltsmessaging.co.uk or speak to your local police officer.
Wiltshire and Swindon Community Messaging will NOT be monitored 24 hours a day. People should always call 999 in an emergency or 101 in a non-emergency.
